Andres Dircio

Andres was born on July 4th, 2003 in Acapulco Guerrero, Mexico. A lifelong passion for music and the art of creation emerged early in his life, influenced heavily by the sound of his surroundings. Andres grew up in a typical Mexican household, learning and listening from the greats of the Mexican culture such as Juan Gabriel or Pedro Infante. While outside of his house, he got exposed to other genres of music such as Hip-hop, cumbias and Rock, genres that will later on inspire him to start creating his own musical pieces. At age 10, Andres and his family immigrated into the U.S. looking for better opportunities. First they arrived in Novato, California, and then they established themselves in Santa Ana, California, for a couple of months until the family ended up moving into Norristown, which is located in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. All that traveling across the map opened up a new perspective on life, lighting up a fire into Andre's soul that still preeminent till this day.

At age 14 he started recording his own music, at the same time he started to attend the Norristown Area High School from 2017 -2021, and the Central Montco Technical High School from 2019-2021. In there, not only he got to reinforce and learn more about his passion, but also he was introduce into a new field, a field he never stepped in before, but he knew it was essential for his self development as an artist. The field of mixing and engineering. He took the course of "Visual, Sound & Music Production" at the Central Montco Technical School in where he got his first experience using professional equipment hands-on, and in where Andres experimented and learned different skills such as script writing, video editing and Photoshop. After Graduating High School, Andres Enrolled into the Sound Recording and Music Technology Program at the Montgomery Community College, In where he is working towards his Associates Degree set to be achieved in the spring of 2026. He is also involved with the non profit organization "CCATE" in where he is a staff member and a teacher, CCATE’s mission is to ignite social transformation by developing the talents of and empowering the Latinx community through culture, art, career development, and education, and Andres leads the "Intro to Music Production" class as well as engineering, edit and upload the "Dialogos de la Villa Inmigrante" Podcast hosted by the anthropologist Obed Arango Hisijara, who is a teacher in the University of Pennsylvania.

In CCATE I get to work closely with the community, providing support for the children with their school work and offering an hour class in music production, In where I teach the kids the principles of different digital audio Workstations such as Ableton, Garageband and Bandlab. Allowing the kids to explore their own imagination with the sounds.

Revarte is a digital magazine created by CCATE, in where we publish a new number every 4 months. And has it's own podcast named "Dialogos de la Villa Inmigrante" hosted by the Anthropologist Obed Arango Hisijara. The purpose of this weekly podcast is to discuss issues related to migration from a journalistic, community, and civic perspective. As well as providing the Immigrant community safe and trusted information about the every day news regarding the community.
